As part of the CDC-funded Building Trust and Confidence Through Partnerships grants program, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine has partnered with community organizations and the Cincinnati Health Department to increase confidence in pediatric vaccines. They have trained more than 70 health champions, who engage with community members using such materials as the Voices for Vaccines storybook. In this video, John Kues, PhD, and Melinda Butsch-Kovacic, PhD, MPH, talk about the importance of engaging with trusted partners in the community to host vaccination events and increase trust in the health care system.
