The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) maintains a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to promote confidence in COVID-19 and routine pediatric vaccines and increase vaccination uptake around the country. Through this funding, the AAMC partnered with the Children’s Health Fund (CHF) to fund three national network partners to build vaccine confidence and improve access to pediatric vaccines utilizing mobile medical clinics in areas where transportation to healthcare is a continual challenge.
This video highlights a Back-to-School event hosted by one of those partners, the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and features Children's Health Fund President and CEO Arturo Brito, MD, MPH, and University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Program Director, Lisa Gwynn, DO, MBA, talking about the importance of meeting communities where they are to provide access to vaccines and other comprehensive health care services.
